contextual, of course.
i see milky cotton candy, brilliant blue and a huge jonquil smiley grinning down at me. its interesting to see from a bystander's perspective. this simultaneously fills me with a contradicting mix of gladness and apprehension.
glad because the logic, which used to be a fuzzy whir, is now distinctly discrete from the emotions. i suppose i knew, even then what to do and what not to do bt the feelings confounded me and rendered me helpless and lost. but i'm back in the driver's seat, baby! glad to be back.
apprehensive because i remember and can empathise. i'm also afraid to be irreversibly cynical. i don't want to be apathetic, even though it may be easier than caring. my perspectives have changed, certainly. but i'd like to think of it as a learning experience. it was. every step of the way. what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger. in the wise words of gloria gaynor, "i will survive!".
on a completely seperate note, i seem to hv too many weather posts, don't i? my creative writing teacher will not be pleased. ![]()
