updates

am settling down a-ok in not-so-sunny singapore. getting used to the buses and trains. and the walking! from traffic jams to human traffic. thank Jobs for the ipod. plug it in, drown out the din.

work has been manic. lots to learn. people here are Efficient so expectations are high. i do like my new workplace and office folks are nice. its been a while but i am adjusting back to the corporate culture.


rentals are at an all time high but after much thought and negotiation, we finally decided on apartment #02-08, XYZ rd, just ten minutes from the city centre and a stone's throw from gd friendies, m&m's place (where am bunking at in the meantime. thanks a bunch, m&m for helping to make my relocation easier). i'm pretty excited about the prospect of getting my own little (literally) place. my new kitchen-to-be has an oven so i can bake. yays! (hey, i cook, okay. made pasta today and nobody got sick eating it.)

on the way to the office the other day, i surveyed the sights and sounds around me. familiar but new. and i realised i'm truly back again, after a decade that seemed to pass like a blink of an eye. in those 10 years, i've made some really gd friends back home who gave me a blast of a send off. i sure miss them and my family (and my car!!!). as thrilled as i am to be here, can't wait to return home, whenever that may be.
